WorldStage Newsonline-- The Nigeria U-20 National Team on Thursday afternoon arrived in Harare safely for its second leg, second round, FIFA Women's World Cup qualifier against the Young Mighty Warriors of Zimbabwe this Sunday, April 15.
Board member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Chief (Mrs). Dilichukwu Onyedinmah led the Nigeria delegation which departed from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos on Wednesday evening aboard a South Africa Airways airline.
The team had earlier touched down at the Oliver Thambo International Airport in Johannesburg in the wee hours of Thursday.
On arrival in Harare, officials from the Nigeria High Commission were on hand to receive the players and officials that included the federation's director of technical, Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme. The team is lodged at the Cresta Lodge Hotel.
While reminding the players of its mission to the Southern African Country, Ikpeme urged them to maintain a high level of discipline throughout their stay.
"Please be focused, avoid unnecessary distractions that could affect your game," he said.
Nigeria won the first leg 3-0 on March 31 at the M.K.O. Abiola Stadium and need at least a draw to proceed to the third and final round of the qualifiers.
