Abuja (WorldStage Newsonline)-- President Goodluck Jonathan is expected to jet out of the country on Thursday for an Extra-Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire.
According to a statement, the meeting is to discuss the current situation in Mali and Guinea-Bissau.
A Final Communiqué is expected at the end of the one-day meeting after which President Jonathan will return to the country.
Four days later, he is expected to attend the 14th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Lake Chad Basin Commission in N’Djamena, Republic of Chad to discuss the situation of the Lake.
President Jonathan will return to Abuja on Monday after the adoption of a Final Communiqué by the Commission.
