Abuja (WorldStage Newsonline)-- President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered the Acting Inspector General of Police to fish out the killers of Mr. Oyerinde Olaitan, the Principal Private Secretary of Edo State Governor.
This is coming as the police have offered a N10 million reward to anyone with information that will lead to the arrest of the killers of Olaitan.
Olaitan was killed by unidentified gunmen early hours on Friday, at his residence in Benin, Edo State.
Jonathan gave the order during a one day Presidential workshop on Power which was attended by some Governors, including Adams Oshiomhole, at the Banquette Hall of the Presidential Villa.
Jonathan, while extending his heartfelt condolences to Oshiomhole said he had ordered the acting IG, Mohammed Dikko Abubakar to reopen all cases of political murders for thorough investigations.
The President who also bemoaned the spate of security challenges facing the country, said, “I have directed that cases of murders must be properly investigated in this country. At the end of the day, we must know what happened; not just in Edo State, but other challenges that are facing us on a daily basis.”
