WorldStage Newsonline-- Activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed on a positive note on Friday as 16 blue chip stocks appreciated in price as against 15 stocks that depreciated.
A total of 389,259,7487 shares worth N2.9 billion exchanged hands in 4,647 deals while market capitalization rose to N7.090 trillion as against N7.085 trillion Thursday, a gain of N5billion or 0.06 per cent. Similarly the All-share index went up slightly by 0.06 per cent to close at 22,232.36 as against 22,218.44 Thursday.
Oando led the gainers' table with a gain of N0.76 kobo to close at N15.96 kobo per share, Dangote Flour gained N0.29 kobo to close at N6.09 kobo per share and UPL N0.18 kobo to close at N3.93 kobo per share.
May and Baker led the losers' chart by shedding N0.06 kobo to close at N1.23 kobo per share, next was Unity Bank that shed N0.02 kobo per share to close at N0.52 kobo per share and Unilever Nigeria Plc N0.75 kobo per share to close at N28.30 kobo per share.
