Starcomms Plc, Nigeria’s leading code division multiple access (CDMA) operator in the telecommunication industry, has reassured customers of its commitment to the provision of improved network service across the country.
Mr. Logan Pather, CEO of the company stated this in Lagos, saying that some sites have been stabilized in Lagos and other parts of the country.
Some of the upgraded sites include Oniru, Ketu, Ojodu, Mouka, Abulegba, Ayobo, Agege, Alimosho, Ikeja, Oregun, Ogba, Agidigbi, Ebute Metta and Iwaya among others.
In a recent development, the company has also upgraded some of its sites from 1x to EVDO as part of overall strategy to improve service delivery to its customers.
The upgrade will avail customers’ better network efficiency in terms of voice clarity and no dropped calls; faster download speeds and ability to download larger files.
It also introduced Star-Fi, a portable Wi-Fi device that is ZTE Router enabled. The device can connect up to five devices to access the Internet, such as laptops, portable game consoles or mobile phones.
The Star-Fi has dimensions of 99.7mm, 53.7mm, 13.9mm, and a battery capacity of 1500mAh. It uses a Ruim card and will only work with an EVDO Ruim (OMH Ruim). The device is available in all Starcomms coverage cities.
The device supports data and SMS services, enabling users to communicate anywhere, adding that, the device is bundled with a data offer that is valid for 90 days.
