WorldStage Newsonline-- Transaction on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed on a bullish note Friday with a total of 137,386,234 shares worth N1.34 billion exchanged hands in 2,966 deals while 24 equity stocks appreciated in price as against 28 that depreciated.
The NSE market capitalisation went up to N6,830 billion at the close of trading as against N6,815 billion on Thursday, representing a rise of 0.22 per cent while the All share Index also went up by 0.22 per cent to 21,394.772 from 21,348.11.
Guaranty Trust Assurance Plc led the gainers’ with a gain of N0.07 kobo to close at N1.47 kobo per share, Eterna gained N0.15 kobo to close at N3.17 kobo per share and StanbicIBTC Bank gained N0.30 kobo to close at N6.35 kobo per share.
However, Union Bank led the losers' chart by shedding N0.20 kobo to close at N3.80 kobo per share, followed by Livestock N0.05 kobo per share to close at N0.95 kobo per share and ARBICO N1.30 kobo per share to close at N24.70 kobo per share.
