IFC highlights South Africa investment opportunities to support jobs, SMEs, and women

IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, today committed to expand support for initiatives in South Africa that help address persistent challenges in job creation, especially for young people and women. In a speech to government officials and business leaders in Johannesburg, IFC CEO Philippe Le Houérou said IFC is ready to deliver expertise and new ideas that support policies aimed at addressing record high levels of poverty and inequality in the country.

N1.9tn Paris Club Refund: Govs who couldn’t pay salaries should resign now or face workers wrath – TUC

The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) has called on state governments that are still owing workers salaries to resign now to avoid disgrace come 2019 election. The Labour Centre added that it is unfair and inhuman for governors after sharing a total of N1.9trillion and Budget Support Facilities since the inception of this administration to fail to meet their obligations.
