The online portal is one of the e-governments flagships that seeks to deliver improved services to Kenyan citizens in the most transparent way. How to register your details with GHRIS

In additional to being a source of personal information and skill database, various ministries have access to the system to inform policy formulation. Here is a detailed process how to enroll in the online portal:

·        Use a supported browser preferably Google Chrome and head to- http://www.ghris.go.ke.

·        Take notice that even non-government employees can still be part of the system. Select from the two available entries-Government of Kenya Employees or Third party employees.

·        Irrespective of the choice, you will be redirected to a page where you will be prompted to either login or register. Click on “Register Here”

·        The page will again redirect you to another page containing the registration form.

·        You are urged to fill the correct personal details that include; National ID Card Number, KRA PIN, real names, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Personal E-mail, etc.

·        For the Third-Party Registration process, you need additional information or documents that include: registration certificate, Articles of Association, Business License, a letter confirming membership with your Association, Tax Identification Number (PIN). Business Permit, authority letter from SACCOS, etc. Furthermore, this type of registration attracts a registration fee plus annual renewal and monthly processing deductions.

·        Once done with filling the form hit the “submit” button. A new page will be displayed, and since what you just submitted is regarded as basic information, additional information regarding your location, employment, academic certificates and testimonials, and dependents will be required for full registration to have been deemed to have taken place.

·        Make sure you have included the necessary information in all the fields before you finally save the data.

·        Hit the Click “Save” button to affect the account creation.

How to download the Online Payslip on GHRIS

Once you are registered, it’s as easy to download your payslip from the web-based portal, anytime, as long you can log in to your account. Without much ado let’s look at the process:

·        Load the portal by going to the official site- http://www.ghris.go.ke/   

·        Select your account type. If you are a government staff, click on “Government of Kenya Employees”.

·        Once on the redirected page, promptly Input your ID and password details.

·        If you, unfortunately, have forgotten your password, the password recovery system will come to your rescue. Create a new password via the link sent to your email and have the account up and running again.

·        If you have successfully logged into your account, then click on, “My Payslip” tab.

·        The page will refresh to a new page where you will be prompted to click on “Current Payslips.”

·        You will again be redirected to a new page layout that demands you indicate the month and year of the payslip you wish to download. Use the scroll tools provided to input the details and select the affirmative option.

·        The requested payslip will then be displayed for your viewing. For the convenience of later viewing of filing, then select the download or print button.

·        When you are done, Logout the account to keep it safe from intruders.
