WorldStage NewsOnline—-The Kaduna State Peace Commission has called on security agencies to do more to protect lives and properties of citizens in various communities in Kaduna.
The Commission also condemned in strong terms the latest round of violence in parts of Kajuru Local Government Area of the state, a development that has claimed many lives and loss of properties.
This was disclosed in a statement by the commission’s Executive Officer, Priscilla Ankut on Thursday.
She urged residents in the area to exercise restraint.
“The commission assures the communities and all stakeholders of its commitment to work closely with them in finding lasting solutions to the concerns of the affected communities,” the executive officer said.
Gunmen on Monday morning attacked two communities in the troubled Kajuru local government and left in their wake a yet-to-be ascertained number of casualties.
The attacks occurred in Ikirimi village, as well as Iri, Dogon Noma in Ungwar Gamo, both in the Kajuru.
