WorldStage NewsOnline—- Oluwatosin Araromi, Miss Nigeria on Sunday demonstrated her love for Africa and fellow women by genuinely celebrating the victory of Miss South Africa, Zozibini Tunzi at Miss Universe.
Tunzi was on Sunday December 8 crowed Miss Universe 2019 in a competition that was keenly contested by over 90 ladies from across the world, including Miss Nigeria.
Araromi was seen at the background during the event, showing her support for the African winner.
@Naomi on Twitter said “Miss Nigeria was genuinely happy for Zozi! She couldn’t contain it.”
Santiago said ” Miss Nigeria is the energy will all need to have towards each other as Africans.”
The 68th annual Miss Universe competition which was hosted by comedy icon/ TV host, Steve Harvey, and Olivia Culpo (Miss Universe 2012) was filled with glitz and glamour as expected.
Tunzi was crowned Miss Universe after excelling through rounds of swimsuit and evening gown struts, questions on social issues and one final chance to explain why she was the right choice.
The 26-year-old contestant finished first ahead of the Puerto Rican and Mexican finalists who were the first and second runner-up respectively. The winner is the first black woman from her country to wear the Miss Universe crown.
